Photos and model railroading

I have done some experiments using mirrors to enlighten models during photographing.

below series of photos are taken with a Canon EOS 350D / Canon EOS Rebel XT digital DSLR with a 17 - 55 mm standard kit lens.

The only light is a 17W energy saving bulb  - and 0 - 3 mirrors used to reflect the light to enlighten the models side.

The effect is very viewable on the first two photos of the old Märklin H0 locomotive. The left done without mirrors and the right one with 3 mirrors. Both photos with the same White Balance setting, ISO 100 and AV 36 for maximum deepth in the photo.
